GOLF PLAY DAYS
EXPLANATION OF PLAY DAY GAMES, TERMS, And RULE
May 7
Crier’s Choice: Each player “chooses” her three worst holes on each 9 holes, and converts the score on these holes to “par” for the playday score. (Real score is posted.)
May 17
Bingo, Bango, Bongo: For each threesome or foursome, three points are given on each hole: 1 point for the first ball on the green, one point for the ball landing closest to the cup on the approach, and 1 point for the first ball in the hole. The player with the most points in each flight wins. Ties will be resolved by lowest net score. (Real scores are posted.)
May 21
Bogey Boasters: Each player circles scores on holes where bogeys are recorded. The player with the most bogey holes wins. Ties will be resolved by lowest net score.
(Real scores are posted).
Proximity Play: Closest to the Pin. The player hitting the ball from off the green closer to the pin than any other player on the designated green. Each player hitting closer or farther than a previous player should move the designation marker and sign the marker card.
May 28 - Luncheon Day!
Tee to Green: Count only the number of strokes from tee to green. Do not count putts for this game. DO count putts for club putt-challenge purpose. (Real score is posted.)
June 4
(Due to course outing - Must be finished by 12:00 today!)
The Odds Have It: Scores for all odd-numbered holes are totaled for the “odd score”. The lowest odd score for each flight wins. Keep scores for all holes; ties will be broken by the player with the lowest net for all holes. (Real scores are posted.)
June 11
Bunker Blues: Each time a player hits a ball that lands in a bunker, a “bunker-blues” point is given. The player in each flight with the least number of bunker-blaster points at the end of play wins. Ties will be resolved by lowest net score. (Real score is posted.)
Proximity Play: Longest Drive. The player hitting the ball farthest from the tee than any other player from the designated tee box.
June 18 - Luncheon Day!
1857 Day: Scores for holes number 1, 8, 5, and 7 for 9 hole players and numbers 1, 8, 5, 7, 11, 18, 15, and 17 and 18 hole players are totaled. Lowest score for each flight is the winner. (Real score posted.)
June 25
NO PLAY (Country Youth Classic event)
July 2
Fly the Flag: Each player is given a small flag with her name on it, to leave stuck in the ground where her ball lies when she has taken the number of strokes equal to net par (par plus her handicap) on the course (for either 18 or 9 holes). Until the player’s net par (with handicap) or better is made on a fairway or green, the player carries her flag on to the next tee. The player who carries her flag the farthest around the course wins. (Real score is posted.)
Proximity Play: Longest Putt. The player making a putt from the farthest point on the green than any other player on the designated green.
July 9
Three Blind Mice: Three holes will be secretly designated by the Play Captain as hosting a “Blind Mouse” who can’t see a player’s gross score on that hole. Players will be informed of which three holes to eliminate gross scores. Winners will be determined by figuring the net score, then subtracting the total of the “Three Blind Mice” holes gross scores in each flight for the 18 hole players and for the 9 hole players. (Real score is posted.)
July 16 - Luncheon Day!
Rally for the Cure - NEW DATE!

July 30 - Luncheon Day!
My Fair Lady: Each time a player’s drive from the tee rests in the fairway, the player is awarded a “fair lady” point. The player with the most “fair lady” points at the end of play wins. (Real score is posted.)
August 6
Cha-Cha-Cha: Lowest total number of strokes on Par 3s, lowest total number of strokes on Par 4s, lowest total number of strokes on Par 5s. A player may win only one “Cha.” (Real scores are posted.)
August 13-14
Club Championship
August 20
Team Play - Drop-Out Best Position: Everyone drives and the team chooses the drive they wish to play. The person who hit that ball may not hit the next shot. The other three players hit the next shot. Choose the next ball. The person who hit that ball may not hit the third shot, however the first drop out returns to play. Therefore, every shot, except the drive may be hit by three golfers. Begin each hole with everyone driving. Chip-ins can count, but birdies and pars will not count for the boards. You do not need to record putts at the end. The team with the lowest score wins. (No scores are posted.)
August 27 - Luncheon Day
Match-Point: Players in each foursome compete to win each hole with the lowest net score, and a “match-point” is won if one player has a lower net stroke score on the hole than the other three in the foursome. Scores cards are marked with dots reflecting each player’s handicap on each hole. No match-points are awarded for ties on a hole. At the end of play, the player with the most match-points, wins. (Real score is posted.)
September 3
Par Stars/Bogey Babes: For 18 hole players, the player with the most pars for the round in each flight becomes a “Par Star” for the day. For 9 hole players, the player with the most pars and bogeys will be a “Bogey Babe” for the day. Ties will be broken by player with the lowest net strokes. (Real scores are posted.)
September 10
Baker’s Dozen Scramble: Nine hole players and 18 hole players will be mixed in each foursome, all foursomes with a shotgun start. In the foursome scramble, the best resting location of the four players’ stroke is the location for the next shot for all four players until the hole is completed. NOTE: Each foursome member’s tee-drive must be used at least twice. Low team gross score wins.
