New Scoring
Each player can score one point for the team and one point for team score.
4 points total
Scramble score will be based on a net score and points for position to finish.
Membership:
Membership is open to any amateur, male golfer in the Bloomington-Normal community; University Students, Faculty/Staff, Retirees, Alumni, and Community Members.
New for 2011:
· Ball is played up in players own fairway and down everywhere else.
· Members will not pay a weekly dinner fee. Fee will be included in member’s dues.
Teams:
· Two-man teams vs. two-man team.
· Teams will be divided in A players and B players.
· Players may sign-up with a teammate or enter the blind draw for partners
· Players will play with their teammate each week.
· Weekly Matches: A vs. A and B vs. B as well as a Team Best Ball
Matches:
· All matches will be handicapped.
· Players must post 3-18 hole, or 6–9 hole scores, by May 22 for handicap purposes
· Matches will be worth a total of three (3) points each week:
· One point for each individual match (A vs. A, B vs. B) and one point for team best ball
· Ties are worth 1/2 point
· There will be one scramble day - teams will earn points based up their finish.
Winners
· The champions will be determined by overall point standing
· Prize money will be given to top team in flight
Subsititutes:
· Any male, from any golf course may be used as a substitute.
· Substitutes are preferred to have a valid CDGA handicap.
· A sub does not have to have the same handicap as the player.
· Please call WGC or email mtschue@ilstu.edu , by 5:00pm Thursday, to report use of a substitute.
· If a player or sub is not present on league night; 1 point is forfeited and remaining player on the team can play his match and against the opposing team alone.
No Make-Up Matches Please!
· Matches must be played during Friday Night League
· If neither team can make it then both teams will be awarded one point
General Rules:
· All events will be played from the White tee markers unless otherwise noted.
· Unless other conditions agreed upon prior to starting the round a player may play his ball up in his own fairway and down everywhere else.
· Balls lost are dropped in area the ball was last seen.
· CDGA handicaps will be used for all events.
· Players may agree on gimmees.
· If needed, all rule decisions will be governed by USGA rules.
Fees:
· $100 to join the league per player
· $20 for joining the CDGA (if you all ready belong this will be waived)
· $30 for end of the year awards
· $50 for dinners ($5 weekly meal)
· $17 Dollars per week per player
· Carts are an additional $7.00 cost
· Passes will be honored
Players that cannot attend league are not required to pay that night |
