ISU Student Golf Club
Student Golfers of ISU is a group of students at Illinois State University who share an interest in the game of golf. Members of the group will have access to our network of golfers who are interested in playing courses in the Bloomington-Normal area as well as playing competitively against other schools in the country. This group is for individuals who are looking to play golf at school, meet new people, or even compete for a National Championship.

Tournaments and Local Events
- Two seasons (Fall and Spring) with optional winter practices and meetings
- Compete in NCCGA tournaments (National Collegiate Club Golf Association)
- Team practice rounds will be held at Weibring Golf Club
- All Seasons Golf Learning Center for winter practice and range
- Potential match vs. U of I on October 11th
About the NCCGA ( National Collegiate Club Golf Association)
- There are over 300 college club teams across the country
- We ranked 39th nationally last semester
- 25 different regions (and growing)
- Great Lakes Region: Illinois State (A/B), Bradley, Loyola Chicago-IL, Northwestern, Palmer College of Chiropractic, University of Illinois and University of Chicago.
- Two regional tournaments per season
- Nationals conclude each season

More On NCCGA Regional Tournaments
- Regional tournaments are about 2-4 hours away
- 36 hole events (Saturday afternoon & Sunday morning)
- Team leaves Saturday morning and stays in a hotel overnight
- Each school can bring two teams (A and B team) of 8 players max; 5 player minimum per team
- Low 5 scores count for each day
- Qualify for nationals by having the most Regional points in your respective Region
- 6 points for 1st place; 3 points for 2nd place; 1 point for 3rd place
- Individuals can qualify as well as teams
- Top 16 individuals who are not on teams that qualify

- Anyone interested in playing competitively who qualifies
- Must be a full time Illinois State Student
- Graduate students can compete
- We will have qualifying for A & B team before each tournament season

- Nationals at TPC San Antonio – Team finish 15th of 32 and Individual Champ Austin Havens
- Spring 2015 –
- Regional #1 at Weibring – Team Champs and Individual Champ Eric Hogenkamp
- Regional #2 at Harborside – Team Champs and Individual Runner Up Eric Hogenkamp
- Nationals at Bryans Park, Browns Summit NC – Team finish 29th of 38
- Fall 2014 –
- Regional #1 at Harrison Hills – Team Third and Braden Klaisle T-7
- Regional #2 at Warren Golf Course – Team Third and Individual Runner Up Braden Klaisle

- Spring 2014 –
- Fall 2013 – Had 2 individuals qualify for Nationals our first semester — Alec Sanderson (So.) and Matt Schopp (Sr.)
- Spring 2013 – won the Great Lakes Regional #1 and got 2nd in the Great Lakes Regional #2 last semester
Practices and Club Meetings
- Practices:
- Will be held at Weibring and the GLC
- Not mandatory but HIGHLY recommended for competitive players
- Qualifying:
- MUST have two rounds of qualifying in order to compete
- MUST pay the tryout fee to the club & green fee to Weibring
- Meetings:
- Will be announced via Facebook and Twitter
- Will discuss future events, equipment, fundraising, leadership, etc.
Competitive Costs
- Initial NCCGA fee of $500 for 2 teams
- Regional Tournament Costs:
- Each regional is about $65 per person
- Hotel costs will be divided amongst each player
- Paid during the trip to the travel coordinator
- Gas money and food are additional costs
- Team Shirts:
- Team shirts will be ordered again this semester
- Same shirts as last semester (1 red & 1 black w/ ISU logo)
- $…… total for both shirts ($…… for just 1 shirt)
- Competitive players are required to have both shirts
- Non-competitive players can order shirts as well
- SHIRT ORDER WILL BE PLACED …………….
Semester Dues
- Competitive Players:
- $150 fee for competitive players
- If you only play in 1 tournament you will be refunded $75
- If you qualify for competitive but can’t make it to either tournament you will receive $135 back ($15 non-comp. fee)
- This includes unlimited range access during club practices, access to team deals on apparel and other team benefits
- Hopefully school funding will help lower dues for the spring season
- Fundraising may also help lower dues so feel free to come up with ideas and let us know
- We need a Director of fundraising so if anyone is interested let us know
